We started day two off by checking our Investopedia stocks. Many people had gained a lot of money which was great! we then moved on to our presentations which we worked on yesterday.
Nuria, Imaar, Niko, and Khadijah taught us about what debt is and why it is bad, different kinds of loans and their purposes, net worth vs. income, and banks and the different kinds of accounts that they offer and what those accounts are. These presentations helped lead us into a fun discussion and activity about college. From these presentations, we learned about student loans and how many people end up being in debt at the end of college.
We did a little activity comparing the cost of tuition at different colleges. After everyone finished that we breaked for lunch where we all ate some yummy meals. After lunch, we had a seminar discussion on the first two chapters of Dave Ramsey's
Complete Guide to Money. Once we had wrapped up that conversation we ended the day watching
Margin call. All in all, we had a great day of investing and learning!
