Today we started off our day by taking a final look at our investopedia game and finally seeing who won the challenge which was Adam with $25,650. Soon after we had a guest speaker, Mr. Reale, who spoke to us about his experiences starting from a paper route in his neighborhood to being on the floor for commodity trading to now where he owns his own venture capital fund, named integrated finance. According to investopedia, a venture capital fund is pooled investment funds that manage the money of investors who seek private equity stakes in startups and small- to medium-sized enterprises with strong growth potential. He gave us great advice on how to make meaningful connections and how to figure out what we want to pursue as a career.

After our guest speaker we participated in an activity where we found properties in specific cities to buy and rent out. We had to find a quadruplex where we rent out 3 rooms and stay in one. The catch was that the rent from the 3 units had to cover the mortgage so we technically stay for free. Once we completed the activity we were hungry and ready to get grilling! For lunch today, we decided to grill fajitas at school to be cost efficient and have money left over for ice cream. We all participated in preparing the food and then dove in to our delicious meal. We had some left over so we offered it to the other courses. Once we cleaned up our area we headed back to class to write a final reflection and to thank our peers and most importantly Mrs. Agrawal for a wonderful personal finance M-term.
