Today was another engaging day of the personal finance M-term although it was a bit more mellow as it was the last day of week we all had a good time participating and getting things done. Per usual we started off our day looking at our investopedia game and seeing how our stocks were doing this morning and of course we all hoped we each made at least some money(which I did). After that we had one presentation by Atom on different types of insurance that was very informative and corresponded to the chapters that we had to read for today's seminar. From there we carried on to focus on our presentations from next week so that we would be able to start next week off strong with finished presentations ready to go. When this productive morning came to an end we headed off to our first lunch provided by the school that we organized using our set budget, the amazing Panda Express. As always the meal tasted great and it fueled us up after a long morning and we were prepared to have a good rest of the day. With lunch over we had our daily seminar on "Dave Ramsey's Complete Guide to Money" coming prepared with having read chapters seven and eight focused on insurance and negotiation. With everyone prepared to discuss we had a fruitful conversation on both the topics as we discussed our different views and feelings about what was said. Although we are still young and in high school this discussion, like the others we have had this week, was helpful in giving all of us a clear idea of the responsibilities that come with getting older and moving on to next stages of our life. When this discussion came to an end we had a calming rest of the day either spending time outside on the quad playing soccer or inside working on presentations and reading for the following week. Week one of personal finance was a great success and we all look forward to week two.
